Fiio FH5 Hybrid Quad Driver IEM

The FH5 is Fiio’s new flagship earphone, which brings the richest, most energetic sound signature to their lineup. The FH5 makes an impression with its striking, high quality design. The earpieces are solid aluminum-magnesium alloy to ensure structural rigidity and reduce audio resonances. The FH5 comes with a 1.2m detachable, mono-crystalline silver plated MMCX cable. The cable is terminated in a right angle gold plated 3.5mm TRS plug, and the FH5 is fully compatible with Fiio’s range of balanced MMCX cables. The earphone comes bundled with a large assortment of accessories including two carrying cases, a cleaning tool, and most distinctively, multiple sets of rubber eartips which allow the user to tune the sound for a vocals, bass, or a more balanced listen.

The FH5 is a hybrid driver earphone with two Knowles balanced armature drivers to take care of the mid and high frequencies, as well as a 10mm polymer nanocomposite dynamic driver to deliver low frequency bass punch.

The FH5’s sound can be described as having emphasis on the bass and treble, providing deep rumble and airiness to the presentation. The emphasis is still balanced, with vocals sounding intimate and energetic. The result is a smooth sound signature, sweeter and more easy going than many of the other earphones in this range. The headphones can be tuned using the included eartips to emphasise vocals, bass, or to provide a balanced reference sound. The tunability of the FH5 makes the earphone versatile and capable for any genre, despite the bass and treble emphasis in the stock signature.
