The "Dual Power Supply Mode" functionality as featured on the portable desktop grade M17 player and Q7 DAC/amp has been well received by the audiophile community, as it allows for impressive performance from a battery driven unit, while enabling even more impressive power output when connected to a power supply. Now, the same portable / desktop power supply mode switching has been incorporated in the smaller M15 series, delivering the ultimate combination of portability and performance! The M15S: a pocket powerhouse.

The new M15S incorporates the same technologies as the desktop grade M17 player and Q7 amp/DAC, including desktop mode, dual power supply modes, and give gain levels.

In the dedicated desktop mode and under USB fast charging, the M15S bypass the battery and transform into a desktop device. In this mode, the battery will neither charge nor discharge, preventing battery degradation in desktop use.

When M15S is connected to a USB fast charger, it will automatically switch into a high voltage power supply mode, leading to a 21.21% increase in power output for the most demanding headphones. A maximum power output of 1200mW is achievable, delivering the same power output of many mains powered desktop headphone amplifiers.

The M15S can be adjusted with five levels of gain, so everything from sensitive IEMs and power hungry planar magnetics can be driven with ease. 

The M15S offers six operating modes:

• Pure Music mode: Fiio Music app exclusive playback mode, for a focus on your music files
• Android mode: Freely install and use third party apps including streaming apps such as Tidal, Spotify, Apple Music
• Roon mode: Roon Ready certified, so the M15S can operate as a dedicated Roon endpoint
• USB DAC mode: Use the M15S as a high performance DAC/amp when connected to a computer / phone
• Bluetooth Receiver mode: connect to the M15S via Bluetooth to use it as a DAC. Supports SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX LL, aptX Adaptive and LDAC
