Description / Ferrum Wandla Desktop DAC
Ferrum WANDLA
WANDLA is Ferrum's fully balanced DAC and preamplifier, and the brand's statement to the current and next generation of music lovers. WANDLA represents tomorrow's standard of high end digital to analogue conversion. Like an F1 constructor's team building the best racing car, Ferrum created the best engine for The Converter, and as The Converter, WANDLA leads the way for tomorrow's high end with flagship audio quality.
Finely Tuned DA Conversion
WANDLA is the latest exemplar of Ferrum's digital know how and its in house developed analogue audio and electrical technology. It pairs the ESS Sabre ES9038PRO with Ferrum's advanced new current to voltage (I/V) converter.
SERCE Digital Audio Module
SERCE is Ferrum's digital audio system module. Its optimised ARM chip offers the shortest signal path possible, making five chips redundant. The module includes an MQA decoder and renderer, along with digital filter selection.
Dynamic Digital Filtering
Alongside the ESS digital filters, WANDLA offers, as a world first, digital filters created exclusively for Ferrum by renowned filter maker Signalyst, known for the HQPlayer app. More filters follow through interaction with WANDLA users, in search of the best possible, tailor made sound.
Optimised Digital Inputs
The USB input is specially programmed, while the coaxial and optical S/PDIF, AES, ARC (TV) and I2S ports are tuned and optimised for audio.

Truly Balanced Design
The analogue signal path is truly balanced, with RCA inputs converted to balanced at the first stage. Amplification is handled by a proprietary, fully balanced modified IC preamplifier, fine tuned for WANDLA.

Ease of Use
A newly developed high resolution touch screen with an intuitive interface makes WANDLA a dream to operate, and a remote control is included.
Enhanced Transparency
The whole design is focused on a balanced and very transparent sound signature, making listening fatigue a thing of the past.

Made for HYPSOS
WANDLA performs beautifully right out of the box, and its performance can be taken above and beyond by pairing it with Ferrum HYPSOS. Using the proprietary Ferrum Power Link (FPL) connection with 4TSD voltage sensing, both components perform to their absolute maximum, unleashing unheard of musicality.
The FPL cable uses a unique design: two wires deliver the power and two wires provide feedback to ensure flat voltage at every moment. This eliminates the harmful effects of the cable's resistance, effectively improving transient response, and significantly improves current delivery speed at the powered device's input.
WANDLA comes with a carefully selected DC power adapter. HYPSOS and the FPL DC power cable are sold separately.
