Exclusive Insulation

The Hard-Cell Foam insulation is exclusive to Audioquest and is used in most of its video and digital audio cables. The insulation material is injected with nitrogen to create air pockets. As air does not absorb any energy, the noise induced by the insulating layer is next to zero. The stiffness of this hard foam ensures that the relationship between the conductors is maintained throughout the length of the cable, resulting in consistent characteristic impedance.
